Hotlanta '99

Trip dates: July 17-18, 1999
Round trip distance: We didn't check... pretty darn short
Tournaments: Hotlanta
Courses played Lenora, Redan

Let's see...  Hotlanta, Amlanta, Baglanta.  Memories of  'lanta.  I'll forego the standard, "it was great" spiel (although it was) because you can get that pretty much anywhere.  I remember it was hot, although we ams got a break and played the wide open Lenora course under overcast skies.  I remember it was early,  mainly because when you're parking a monster trailer you've gotta snag quite a few parking spaces.  I remember everyone was friendly. I remember everyone else looked like they'd had more sleep than me.  Ahhh...

So now it's the theoretical afternoon, the time to complain about fuzzy headedness is gone, now it's time to talk about...  what?  It's hard to think of things other than my own miserable putting.  There was some seriously excellent play by Jason and Michael (ok, ok, and Forrest...) and James, that little am guy that bagged open.

Tony showed up again from the great white north (he braved the rain at ice bowl in January) and brought a former bagger with him (former 'cause he's tearing up open now), which was pretty cool.  You know, the whole field was really pretty cool, I hope they all show up next year (and bring their friends).

I've gotta say, I feel a little better about my putter-mashing episode in KC after seeing Chris Lee do the same on #15 at Redan...  it's good to know I'm not alone.

Team Lynx limped through Sunday, Todd finished 49/54 in advanced, Doug came in 38th.

Other Wills Park-ers: Scott Renz 2nd out of 17 in open, Rand 3rd, Jeff 6th, Ryan 8th, Tim 12, Steven 17, and Chris just threw in the towel and went back to work on Sunday.

Perhaps you expect some explanation of this picture...
I have none, except that David Myers took it and was nice
enough to send it our way.
