It really wasn't that hot in the shade at Tuscawilla, you know. John (E) McCray came back and caught Climo, was tied with 3 holes to go, but Kenny birdied 16 and 18 and Johnny just got 18 and Climo escaped again.
Ryan won a basket in this dollar-a-shot thing from the top of the press box, which was cool. I didn't throw any because to me the throw was a lot more fun if you were trying to get it over the stands on the far side of the stadium. I tried that with every disc in my bag but never got it. Todd shot well the last round, but was unable to overcome the lousy start in the first 2. First round, for instance, he lost 6 discs in 3 holes. Wowzas.
So that was that, we went, we played, it was a good tournament. The Florida people are awfully nice, the Florida weather blows, the Florida parking situation (at least at the tournament hotel) was ungodly bad. I was trying to link results here but they're not up yet at the florida tour web site. (We have them now... I stole 'em from the florida tour site. But ours don't have place numbers and theirs do, so go check out their site) I didn't do the math, but the payout seemed very good, Norbert and crew got some good sponsorship and Disczilla gave $1000 and gave away computer (he's a really nice guy and has been giving a lot to Florida disc golf, send him an email or give him a call or cut him off on the highway and tell him so), a shame none of that trickled down to 25th place, eh?
Did you know it's hard to concentrate on much at all when it's 95 degrees in your apartment? I'll get back to this later, when I'm not quite so miserable.
