Course Reviews by Worm On March 10 and 11 we played the El Dorado Open in Long Beach, California. The course we played, El Dorado Park, was very interesting with beautiful green grass, low ceilings, and tough scoring considering the length. El Dorado consisted of 18 holes which included Mach 3's and Discatchers, we were also provided with bathrooms and a port-a-let, everyone loves multiple bathrooms and locations. Innova provided everyone at the tournament with good and drinks, thanks to Tim and Chris plus everyone else that had any contribution to the tournament, it was a nice B-Tier event. El Dorado was fairly open for the most part with nice trees and an O.B. sidewalk that wound through the course. When the finals started it was Cam leading over Al Schack, followed by Geoff Lissaman and Ron Russell. During the finals the players played a couple of two shot holes and mostly the regular course. When the dust settled it was Cam who won with Al taking second, Geoff third, and Ron fourth. Thanks to Mark Collicott for a place to crash and some Cali hospitality. On the Tuesday after El Dorado we headed out to a ball golf course in San Diego which Reese and Matt are trying to get put in, 18 baskets at a total length of 15,420 feet. We had the opportunity to play a dry run on the course with portable baskets, golf carts, plus great golf and people. Thanks to Reese and Fly-18 for their contribution towards giving disc golf a more professional and respectable atmosphere. We also got a chance to play at La Mirada which turned out to be a great course with green grass, huge tees, and a pro shop on the course. La Mirada had multiple types of shots being required throughout the course and if the wind kicks up, watch out, because with lots of elevation and danger this course puts up a good fight.
