Gentleman's Club Challenge
Las Vegas, Nevada
February 17-18, 2001
(Mileage 3,307)

[Your editor/web-bum wants to apologize for taking sixteen billion years to get this up, but what can I say, I'm a slow typist]

Here we are in Las Vegas, just leaving the Outer West, where Krispy Kreme doughnuts are glazing hot and the slot machines are cold.  At least they were for me, but I guess you have to spend more than $20 if you plan to (maybe) win something.  [Editor's note:  ask me about slot machines sometime... no, really, I mean it]  Anyway, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are selling like crazy out west, last year was teh time to grab a few shares of ol' Krispy Kreme, Inc.

So we came to play golf in vegas, while doing so I witnessed a bizarre occurrence.  Two guys came up in front of the lead group, stepped on the pad, and started throwing.  Tour Central was 20 feet away (so were the Krispy Kremes).  The assistant TD asked if they would not play since the park was closed for the tournament.  The guy said, "Sure, no problem," and then proceeded playing anyway.  They threw on groups and jumped groups blatantly until the park officer came out.  The cop asked one golfer in particular if he wanted to press charges against them (for abusive language, threats, blah, blah, blah), but after the golfer realized the guys had warrants for their arrest there was no point in pressing charges.  So off they went to jail...

More on the subject of golf, I want to thank Gentleman's Club and the Vegas golfers, I had a great time.  Thanks for all the hospitality!  I also want to give out a special thanks to LynxDGS, they have made my life on the road so much easier.  The seats in the van, not to mention the van itself, are incredible.  Thanks so much!

Oh, and last but not least, you can eat and drink and park dirt cheap in Vegas if you don't gamble.
